Biography
“I have made my home in the San Juan Mountains of Ouray, Colorado, since 1999 where I write poetry, direct poetry events, and write a monthly feature column for the Ouray Plaindealer about life in a small mountain town. Prior to that I taught writing classes at California State University, Los Angeles, for over twenty years.
Where I live, deer and elk roam, the mountains beckon, and a river whispers from across the fields. memories of people, the arts, and nature inspire me: I can’t really choose between them. I hope my poems and articles show the wonderful complexity and interrelationships of these aspects of human life.
